Building Control
The Building Control Services group is primarily responsible for ensuring that notifiable building work carried out within the Royal Borough complies with national Building Regulation standards. As an independent publicly accountable body we are dedicated to adding value to your project and strive to work closely with you from the earliest stages from planning through to completion, to help you achieve better quality in building at minimum cost.
We are also responsible for dealing with dangerous structures and demolitions.
If you are having construction or refurbishment work done, you may need to notify the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and you may have other duties as well (see related external links below).
