In accordance with The Building (Local Authority Charges) Regulations 2010, a new scheme of charges has been introduced from 1 October 2010. Enquiries concerning the new scheme should be directed to bcdc@rbk.kingston.gov.uk or by calling 020 8547 5351.
Before you carry out work to which the Building Regulations apply you must give us a relevant application. Whilst the law requires that this should be made no later than 2 working days before work starts on site, the more notice you can give us then the better the likelihood will be that we will be able to forewarn you of any potential difficulties.
If after reading our guidance on making a Building Regulations Application you are still unsure as to which application form to use, please contact us on the following direct line: 0208 547 5002 or email us at building.control@rbk.kingston.gov.uk
The amount we charge varies depending on the type of work you intend to carry out, although the total amount which you pay will be the same whether you submit either Full Plans or a Building Notice. Payments can be made by Cheque or Card. Please make Cheques payable to Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and card payment can be made through our Contact Centre on direct line 0208 547 5002.
If you have any difficulty calculating charges using either our online charges calculator or guidance notes below, please contact us.
