Eagle Brewery Wharf is the public open space on Kingston's riverside. It is located next to The Ram public house and is owned by the Council. The space was laid in concrete paving slabs and landscaped with low scrub planting in the 1970's, and could be made a more attractive and accessible place to visit.
The opportunity to improve Eagle Brewery Wharf has been recognised by the Council in association with local community groups, Design for London (who may consider the space suitable for inclusion in their 100 Spaces Programme) and Transport for London who are the project's main funders. A project Steering Group has been working with a design consultancy called East for several months to work up a scheme for the space. The scheme has now been prepared and from Monday 7 January 2008 to Monday 28 January 2008 we will be seeking the public's views on the proposals. The results of the public consultation and any design comments will be reported to Kingston Town Neighbourhood Committee in Spring 2008. The Committee will decide if the scheme should proceed.
Public consultation on the proposed scheme ran from Monday 7 January 2008 to Monday 28 January 2008 in the form of paper questionnaires and an online questionnaire. The consultation is now closed.
Information regarding the consultation responses will be made available online once they have been analysed.
