St Philip's is a non-demoninational, community special school for young people with moderate learning difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorders and other complex needs. The students range from 11-19 years of age. St Philip's School places its young people at the centre of all that it does and fosters a sense of belonging, which builds confidence and positive self esteem. Provision is made in small classes, with support from other professionals where necessary.
The Admission Authority for St Philip's School is Kingston Local Authority (LA). No student can be offered a place without the agreement of the LA and a statement, or proposed statement of Special Educational Needs. If the Admissions Authority feels that St Philip's may meet the student's special educational needs, documentation relating to the student is sent to the Headteacher for consideration.
