Dysart School is a community special school for pupils between the ages of 5 and 19. The range of special educational needs catered for by the school includes severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, autism and multi-sensory impairment.
The Admission Authority for Dysart School is Kingston Local Authority (LA). No child can be offered a place without the agreement of the LA. The majority of children offered a place have a Statement of Special Educational Needs. On rare occasions a child is admitted without a statement i.e. a child coming from overseas, from private educational provision or if a statement is pending.
