Lime Tree Primary School

The Office of the Schools Adjudicator has decided that the new primary school in Surbiton will be provided by the Surbiton Education Health Trust. A copy of the decision can be obtained from the link to at the bottom of this page named 'New Primary School in Surbiton'.
Park access restricted during school building works

Day time access to the Blagdon Open Space from Burlington Road will be restricted during the 12 month building programme at Burlington Infant and Junior Schools.
Work on the Primary Expansion Programme at the schools is due to start early in 2011. Throughout the year long project, access from Burlington Road to the Blagdon Open Space will be gate-restricted with no access available between 8.00am – 5.00pm, Monday – Friday. At all other times, including weekends, the gates will be open and there will be no restrictions.
The restrictions to access are essential as the only point of entry to the site for construction traffic is a small access road at the western end of the school site. Whilst this path provides the only access to the site that can safely ensure that the schools can remain open during the construction work, it is also the only link to Blagdon Road open space from Burlington Road. Unfortunately, the path is simply not wide enough to separate pedestrians and construction traffic vehicles safely during working hours.
To ensure that local residents can use the path as much as possible during the construction work, daytime restrictions will be controlled by lockable gate. The path will be gated where it narrows behind the office building fronting Burlington Road and will be re-opened at 5.00pm to provide unrestricted access in the evenings and at weekends.
Restricted access will remain in place until December 2011. When the works are completed, full and unrestricted access will be restored.

New Secondary School will be provided by Kingston Educational Trust

The independent Office of the Schools Adjudicator (OSA) has decided that Kingston Educational Trust should provide the education at a new secondary school in the north of the borough from September 2015. Please find attached the OSA's determination report attached at the bottom of this page.
