In response to the continued significant demographic growth and rising demand for Reception class places, a total of 6 additional temporary classes have been added to the existing 1830 permanent Reception places, providing a total of 180 extra places across the borough for September 2012. This brings the total capacity for September to 2010 places.
120 places were added at the following schools to meet anticipated demand in advance of the closing date of 15 January 2012:
