This specialist Speech and Language Nursery provision offers 20 part-time places for nursery aged pupils with identified speech and language difficulties. This joint funded (LEA and Health) provision enables pupils to be supported by both Speech and Language Therapists and teachers within an inclusive nursery environment. Placement is through the LEA following identification and assessment by Speech and Language Therapists.
This unit offers 12 full-time places for infant aged pupils with Statements of Special Educational Need indicating a primary speech and language difficulty. Pupils are on the roll of the school in a mainstream class and are offered opportunities for integration as appropriate. Specialist teacher and therapist intervantion is also offered. Placement is through the LEA's arrangements for pupils with statements.
