KMS has a wide range of ensembles giving young people valuable experience of playing as part of a group. Our ensembles cater for students of all ages and standards. The groups rehearse for ten weeks a term at our music centres. Members will have the opportunity to participate in regular performances and even go on tour!
All ensembles are open to members regardless of whether they are having lessons with KMS

Saturdays at Coombe Girls' School

Kingston Junior Strings                        

10am to 11am
Young string players up to grade 2.

Kingston Training Orchestra            

11:15 am to 12.45 pm
Orchestral group for grades 2 to 5 standard.

Kingston Youth Orchestra

9:15 am to 11:15 am
Youth orchestra for players at grade 5 and above.

Thursdays at Tolworth Girls' School

Kingston Training Band

4.30pm to 5.30pm
Wind band for players at pre-grade 1 to 2.

Kingston Wind Band

5.30pm to 6.30pm
Wind band for players at grade 2 to 5.

Kingston Youth Concert Band       

6:30pm to 8:30 pm
Concert band for grade 5 and above.

Kingston Youth Big Band             

5:00 pm to 6:30 pm
Jazz big band for grade 6 and above

The course is open to pupils of all levels and ages. It will cover the Associated Board syllabus and will culminate in students taking an exam if they wish. Please complete application form below.
