We provide music tuition during school hours at schools around the Borough.

Lessons at school offer a convenient way to learn music in a familiar environment for your child. Tuition is usually arranged to take place during the school day.

Please note: it may be required that your child is taken out of normal school lessons if music tuition is scheduled at the same time. For out of school hours tuition, consider lessons at one of our music centres.

Lesson types available

There are ten lessons in each school term. The prices below are for a full term's tuition.
The range of instruments and lesson timing varies between schools.

Applicants may choose from the following options:

Infant/primary school pupils may also select from the following shared options:

Music Bursaries

Bursaries are available for parents who are on income support, jobseekers' allowance or if the child is eligible for free school meals. You must be able to provide evidence of your financial status. See Bursary Application Form below for more details.
