Grade 5 Music Theory Course
The course will cover the Associated Board syllabus for Grade 4 and 5 theory. A pass at Grade 5 theory is a prerequisite to taking the Grade 6 practical instrumental exam. The course is also suitable for those not taking practical examinations as theory is essential in understanding musical structure and enhances reading and interpretation of music. The course will include time and key signatures, scale writing, rhythmic, harmonic and melodic structures, melody writing, transposing and musical terminology.

The full term course must be attended to completion.
