You can learn to play a musical instrument or have singing lessons in most of Kingston's schools during the school day. You can also learn at one of our music centres after school on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings.

The following services are available:

• Music tuition in schools
  Lessons take place during the school day and times vary from school to school.
• Music tuition at centres
  Lessons are available at centres outside of school hours, taking place on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings.
• Assisted instrument purchase
  If you are planning to buy an instrument, use our assisted instrument purchase service to buy VAT free.
• Bursaries
  Limited bursaries are available for parents who are on income support, jobseekers' allowance or if the child is eligible for free school meals. You must be able to provide evidence of your financial status.

Adult tuition

If you are an adult, you can learn to play an instrument or sing at one of our music centres. Kingston Adult education also offers some music tuition courses. See the link below for more information.
