Early Years and Childcare
We ensure that all those involved in the care and early education of children provide services which are high quality, accessible and inclusive, benefiting parents and children in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.
In order to achieve this we have a multi-disciplinary staff team to meet targets and goals such as:
- Increasing childcare provision for children aged 0-14 (0-16 for disabled children)
- Insuring free universal early education provision for all 3 and 4 year olds
- Providing help, support and advice, including financial advice, to childcare businesses to assist their sustainability
- Increasing training and qualification opportunities in early years and childcare
- Providing accurate, impartial information to parents and carers so that they can make informed choices about childcare and early education
