Sport, Leisure, Exercise and Health

Sports and Games

The department offers all levels for Badminton and Tennis, including one day clinics.  You will be taught the basic skills needed to play and score and then put them into practise through relaxed matches with peers.  Our One Day Tennis and Badminton clinics are for the basic tennis player wanting to improve their technique in shot production whilst receiving professional help on tactical awareness.

RYA learners

We also offer RYA Day Skipper level 1 and RYA Yachtmaster/Coastal Skipper level 2 courses where you will gain navigational skills and seamanship for both motor and sailing vessels.  Level 1 is a shore based scheme of study suitable for beginners with little or no knowledge of seamanship.  Our Level 2 course is again a shore based scheme of study allowing you to gain an advanced level of understanding of navigation techniques, you should have achieved Day Skipper standard before enrolling on this course.
