IITEC qualifications are internationally recognised, allowing you to work with confidence and skill in a professional environment. These internationally recognised qualifications are aimed at beginners wishing to train as professional complementary therapists, or existing therapists wishing to extend their practice skills or formalise their existing knowledge through accreditation. Courses may be studied separately or together as part of an intensive course of study, taking beginners to practitioner level in just one year.

Enrolment on professional level 3 courses requires discussion or interview with the coordinator prior to enrolment. Learners wishing to undertake ITEC qualifications should have at least 5 GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent Level 2 qualifications. Those learners without evidence of a relevant level 2 qualification are invited to attend an informal interview and demonstrate literacy skills at level 2 through completion of a national literacy test. Mature learners are welcome. All ITEC courses are Level 3, which means you may be a beginner to the subject but are working to ‘A’ level standard (equivalent to NVQ3, Advanced GNVQ, BTEC).
Classes are open to both male and female applicants. In order to gain professional perspective learners are expected to actively participate in all practical sessions.
To gain accreditation, mandatory completion of a large number of assignments and extensive practical case studies are required on ITEC courses. Case studies are completed outside of class time. Learners will need to allow time outside of class for further study eg theory, preparing for examinations and developing practical skills.
Learners will incur additional costs on these courses for:

Additional Learning Support is available to learners in the EU. Financial help may also be available to some EU learners.
To ensure success, learners must also have good command of written and spoken English. Learners must be ‘self starters’ and able to plan use of their time. You must be in good health and mobile enough to perform strenuous physical activity.
