Newent - Fundraising

2009 is seeing us full of promise to raise money for the centre - all of which goes to our Amenity Fund. The Amenity Fund pays for things like concerts and for equipments. It also means we can buy items such as paints for art and a cup of tea or an ice cream down on the beach when we are on an outing for your family members or your friends.

We will be once again walking through Richmond Park and hosting our annual Summer Fete during the height of summer. We will have bring and buy sales and raffles - one before Easter.

2008 was no different. during the year we had raffles, a sponsored swim of more than 4 miles in an hour by five people, a walk through Richmond Park , our Fete, and the joint charity auction, which was held at the Guildhall and raised more than £2000 between the four resource centres. We raised over £400 over Christmas so that we could have a panto here and two concerts as well as celebrate Burns' Night.
