If you need advice on any of the following subjects – help is at hand, here in Kingston.

There are several legal advice agencies, with a wide range of expertise who can give information and advice. Some of the agencies also offer representation at courts and tribunals.

Who can help and how do you get in touch?

  • Age Concern First Contact - 020 8408 8170 (Advice line open Monday to Friday, 10 -12)
    provides advocacy and offers information and advice to clients aged 60+ and to their families, friends and carers.
  • CAB - Citizens Advice Bureau - 0844 826 9701 (Advice line open Monday to Friday, 10 – 1)
    offers clients information and advice on a wide range of issues including benefits, debts, employment, housing and immigration.
  • Kingston Council’s Housing Advice Service – 020 8546 5468
    provides advice in areas such as the prevention of homelessness in private sector including: resolving landlord and tenant disputes, welfare and housing benefits issues, mortgage arrears problems and accessing private rented accommodation
  • KCAH – Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness - 020 8255 7400
    provides advice on issues such as housing, welfare benefits and hostel placements to homeless people in Kingston
  • Law Centre - 020 8547 2882
    provides information and advice on legal issues relating to immigration, employment, welfare benefits, housing, education, discrimination and many more
  • RAK – Refugee Action Kingston - 020 8547 0115
    provides free advice and information to asylum-seekers and refugees on the following subjects: Immigration (Level 1), welfare benefits, education, employment, utilities, health
