The one stop shop is a confidential drop-in service for people affected by domestic abuse offering information, advice and support from a number of different agencies under one roof. It is usually held from 9.30am – 12.30pm on Mondays in the Baptist Church, Union Street, Kingston, KT1 1RP. On the 30 November we will be running a specially extended service from 10am – 3pm, aiming to increase frontline professionals’ awareness of the service. A free staff training day on working with perpetrators of domestic abuse will be taking place on Tuesday 1 December. This training is open to all staff working or volunteering in the borough of Kingston. To book a place call 020 8547 5040 or e-mail kate.leyland@rbk.kingston.gov.uk
The team of Kingston Domestic Abuse workers will be out and about in the borough throughout the 16 days, publicising services and talking to you about how you would like these services to be improved. Please keep an eye out for the mobile police van or our stall over these 16 days.
For the second week of extended One Stop Shop services, past and present clients are invited to attend the One Stop Shop for a stress busting event, including a nail clinic, and stress busting and self esteem techniques. Extended hours will run to 3pm.
