About the Children and Young People's Services Directory
This Directory aims to provide information on both statutory and voluntary services for children, young people and their families. Voluntary groups provide considerable support to children and their families; some provide a universal service (scouts, guides for example), others target support to families in particular circumstances, (young people as carers for example).
Whilst it is desirable for as many local services to be included in the Directory as possible, it is also important that those seeking help/information via the Directory have confidence that the services listed adopt best practice, particularly in terms of safe care for children.
Following consultation with both statutory and voluntary services an accreditation scheme has therefore been agreed.
If your organisation is interested in being included in this Service Directory, please contact the Children's Voluntary Sector Worker on 020 8547 6024 (voluntary sector), or the Children's Services Directory Manager on 020 8547 6582 (private and statutory sectors).
The information contained within this Directory will be kept up to date, as far as possible. Ad-hoc checks will be carried out with service providers to ensure accuracy of information. However, service providers are encouraged to notify the Children's Services Team directly of any changes of service.
