Kingston Council's children's centres provide a range of services for children under five years old and their faimilies. In addition they offer early years provision (ie childcare linked with early years learning), health services, family support, home visits and employment advice for families. This is all part of a national initiative (Sure Start) to set up children's centres all over the country. The serivces offered will not be the same at each centre because each local community will have its own needs.
