A priority in the Children and Young People’s Plan is to improve children and young people’s mental health and emotional well being. As part of this we have set out to improve access to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and have developed a new CAMHS Strategy.

The CAMHS Commissioning Group has reviewed services for children and young people's mental health in Kingston and identified a number of commissioning objectives and priorities to bring about further improvements. The new CAMHS Strategy has been widely consulted on and approved by the Children’s Trust Board and the Primary Care Trust Board. Please find the CAMHS Strategy, 2009-12 attached below.
