We are pleased to present the Children and Young People’s Plan for Kingston. It plays a key part in our working together to improve services for children, young people and their families.
The Plan has come together following wide consultation and valuable contributions from all partners in the Children and Young People's Trust and across the local community. Children and young people have also had a big say in what we need to do to improve their lives and in the services we are developing.
The Children and Young People’s Plan (CYPP) covers the period 2009 - 2013 and summarises our key priorities and objectives for improving the health, safety, achievements, positive contribution and economic well being of all children and young people in Kingston
The Plan also describes how the Children and Young People's Trust will continue to support the further integration of services, take forward our workforce development strategy and commission provision that meets the needs of children, young people and families.
We believe absolutely that ‘every child matters’ and that we need to do more to ensure all children and young people get the best opportunities and are supported to succeed. Over the period of this Plan, 2009 to 2013, we have set an ambitious agenda for change and improvement, when we will continue to provide high quality services and keep up excellent levels of performance. The detailed performance measures and actions plans are set out in the Action Plans and Performance Measures document which is available below along with the Children and Young People's Plan 2009-13.
The previous Plan for 2006-2010 as well as previous reviews of the Plan and action plans and performance measures are available on our Children and Young People's Plan Archive Documents page (the link is on the left-hand side of this page).
