Children and Young People's Partnership

The Children and Young People’s Partnership is the key local strategic partnership for children’s and young people’s services. It is responsible to the Children and Young People’s Trust Board.

The partnership is responsible for ensuring that:

  • we have a well coordinated planning process for the Children and Young People’s Plan;
  • the Children and Young People's Plan is implemented successfully and its progress is carefully monitored against the five outcomes for children and young people;
  • service contributions are coordinated and decisions are made about the operational commitments that are necessary to achieve agreed outcomes and priorities;
  • all stakeholders’ views are represented;
  • and that there is clear communication and decision making between the Partnership and the various working groups which report to it.

The Partnership is made up of the following sub-groups for the implementation and monitoring of key priorities in the Children and Young People’s Plan, and the service developments for the integrated children’s workforce. The business of the Partnership is managed by a coordination group, comprising the chairs of the other sub groups, chaired by the Director of Learning and Children’s Services.
