Making a difference together Kingston Children and Young People’s Trust is working to improve co-ordination of services around children and young people rather than service priorities. It brings together agencies such as Education, Health, Social Services, the Police, Connexions, the Local Learning and Skills Council and the voluntary sector which are developing shared ways of working and reducing duplication. The emphasis of the work of the Trust is on early intervention and supporting families. We all have a shared responsibility for making things better for children and young people. The Trust has the support and commitment of senior officers of the council and other agencies who make up the Children and Young People’s Trust Board. This Board is responsible for agreeing priorities, approving the development of new service provision and processes, identifying and pooling resources and monitoring the effectiveness of our work in improving the outcomes for children and young people.
The priorities and objectives for improving outcomes for children and young people are set out in the Children and Young People’s Plan 2006 – 2010.
The Children and Young People’s Partnership is responsible for ensuring the Plan is regularly monitored, evaluated and reviewed.
