If you wish to make a new claim for Housing Benefit and/or Council Tax Benefit, you will need to book an appointment by ringing 020 8547 5001.
If you want to deliver documents and you do not need a receipt, post your documents into the secure Housing Benefit post box which can be found in the foyer of Guildhall 2.
If you personally hand in documents you will be given a receipt. Please read this carefully, checking for any mistakes before leaving the Information and Advice Centre, and keep it safe. If any further information is needed this will be detailed on the receipt.
If you are housebound you can request a home visit. You will be contacted by phone or letter to say when the visiting officer will call. Before the visit please make sure that you have all the information needed. You will be told what is necessary by phone or in writing.

If you are already in receipt of Housing and Council Tax Benefit, please call the number on the top of your notification letter, which will be the direct line for the officer dealing with your claim. Please leave a message if the officer you are calling is not available.
