Licensing Plans

Plans are required to be submitted in the scale of 1 to 100.  Where these can be submitted electronically to allow them to be reproduced on, not exceeding, A4 paper size then an electronic format would be preferred.  Any plan exceeding this may be submitted in a different scale after consultation with the Licensing Authority.  Plans submitted with conversion/variation applications need to indicate the locations available for the consumption of alcohol, however those applications for new licences are only required to show the locations designated for licensable activities, ie. a dance floor; the sale of alcohol.

The following notes may be of assistance in completing the form.  As with most forms they are divided up into different parts.

This Act is slightly broader than previous enactments in that the provision of facilitates for making music, and/or dancing, and/or entertainment, where an audience is present, becomes a licensable activity.

The provision of late night refreshments refers to the supply of warm food between 23:00 and 05:00 hours.  Thus late night food outlets (including burger vans etc) will require licensing.  Those premises currently with an entertainment licence will require licensing for food as well.

Remember an application that is carefully written and thought out is unlikely to attract any representations from a Responsible Authority.  Without representations the Licence has to be granted in the terms of the application.
