Personal and Premise Applications

How to apply for a Personal Licence


The application comprises of:

  1. An application form
  2. A disclosure of convictions form
  3. A certified qualification which is the National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders.  Please see the information on training providers.
  4. A criminality check: This must be no older than one month prior to application. This can be obtained either by:
    i) requesting a personal Data Access check through your local Police station,
    or in the case of the Metropolitan Police by applying to the "Public Access Office, PO Box 57192, London, SW6 1SF" or through the link below.
    ii) or as a basic disclosure through the Scottish Criminal Bureau through the link below.
  5. Two passport type photographs on of which is endorsed on the reverse by a  person of local standing that it is a true likeness.
  6. The fee of £37

Please complete each section appropriately. We may be contacted by phone on 0208 547 5078 or email licensing@rbk.kingston.gov.uk if you have any questions on how to complete a particular section. It is better to submit a correct application than to have it sent back to you because of an error.·

Live or Recorded Music

Applicants are reminded that where they wish to include live and or recorded music in their licence then there is a requirement to obtain a copyright licence from a company such as P.R.S (The Performing Rights Society).
