Gambling Premise Applications

The following chart indicates premises that have recently applied for a new premise licence or to vary their current licence.

The application is expressed in general terms only. If you wish to see the application in full, you are entitled to view the public register and can therefore visit us to view it in person during office hours of 9.00am until 5.00pm at:

Licensing Section
Guildhall
Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames
KT1 1EU

Should you wish to make a representation about an application firstly you should be a person or business living or working within the vicinity of the premises. Representations must be restricted to one or more of the Gambling Objectives:

  • Preventing gambling from being a source of crime and disorder, being associated with crime and disorder, or being used to support crime;
  • Ensuring Gambling is conducted in a fair and open way;
  • Protecting children and other vulnerable people from being harmed or exploited by gambling.

These conditions are more prescriptive than those for the Licensing Act 2003. For instance disorder means an activity that is more serious and disruptive than mere nuisance. The Gambling Commission will not normally expect the Local Authority to become concerned in ensuring Gambling is conducted in a fair and open way.
