The Royal Borough comprises the town centre of Kingston and district centres of New Malden, Surbiton and Tolworth.

A diverse and balanced economy, the borough provides around 85,000 jobs and is home to a wide range of retail, commercial and industrial businesses.

One of London's premier residential areas, it has  many green spaces to enjoy.

An historical centre of national importance, Kingston Town Centre is renowned as a first-rate regional shopping centre and a centre of academic excellence, being home to some of the country's leading schools as well as Kingston University and Kingston College.

The safest borough in greater London, in which to live, work and visit.

Major leisure attractions within or close to its boundaries include Chessington World of Adventures, one of the country's top theme parks, historic Hampton Court Palace and tranquil Kew Gardens.

The Royal Borough enjoys a prime location on the affluent South West edge of London and has excellent access to rail, road and air communications.

Situated between the two major London airports of Heathrow and Gatwick, and with easy access to Europe via the Channel Tunnel, Kingston upon Thames offers an excellent location in which to work, live and play.

Rail
Kingston is 30 minutes by train from central London.

Road
It is ideally located for access onto the national motorway network. The M25 is 1 mile south of the borough boundary and the M3 is only a 20 minute drive away.

Airports
Once on the motorway network, Heathrow and Gatwick airports are 20 and 40 minutes drive away respectively. Gatwick Airport is also accessible by train via Clapham Junction.

Cross-channel
It is conveniently situated for all parts of the UK and mainland Europe. Proximity to the Channel Tunnel and the cross channel ferry ports of Portsmouth, Newhaven, Folkestone and Dover via direct, fast routes also provides excellent advantages for freight.
