Blue Badge Scheme and Parking Facilities

Essential information about the Blue Badge Scheme

The Blue Badge Scheme provides a national arrangement of parking concessions for:

drivers or passengers with severe walking difficulties or who are registered blind
people who hold a driving licence and have a severe impairment in both upper limbs and who are unable to operate, or have great difficulty in operating, all or some types of parking meter
children under 3 years with certain serious medical conditions requiring the transportation of bulky medical equipment or who need to be kept near a vehicle at all times in order to be treated in the vehicle or to be taken immediately to a place where they can be treated
Service personel and veterans who meet the criteria as specified in the 'Disabled Service Personnel addendum'.
Blue Badge perrmit holders to park on street or bay close to their destination.
